About You and The Role

At Zipline, learning isn’t just training — it’s how we build capability, confidence, and culture. Our Academy team (Zipline’s global Learning & Development function) plays a critical role in onboarding, training, and certifying Zipliners to excel in their roles and live out our values every day.

As part of this team, the Academy Instructor will help shape how our people grow, lead, and deliver impact. This role is central to ensuring that Zipline continues to scale with excellence — strengthening both the skills and the culture that make our mission possible.

You’ll design and deliver high-quality learning experiences across Sales & Customer Success, Leadership Development, Soft Skills, and Fulfillment Operations — all aimed at building capable, high-performing teams who uphold Zipline’s pillars of safety, dependability, quality, speed, and access.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement a structured Sales & Customer Success enablement roadmap aligned with Africa Leadership Team (ALT) goals, achieving strong adoption and positive participant feedback across English- and French-speaking markets.
  • Design and facilitate leadership and soft skills programs for bilingual audiences, strengthening managerial capability, communication, and team performance across diverse markets.
  • Deliver Fulfillment Operations training at consistently high standards, ensuring each Nest sustains certified, capable operators to meet business demands.
  • Measure learning impact through satisfaction, behavioral change, and business KPIs (e.g., improved sales conversion, shorter onboarding cycles, and enhanced operational consistency).
  • Establish a repeatable learning cycle — plan, deliver, assess, and refine — to continuously improve training quality and learner engagement.

What You'll Bring

  • Performance and Skills Gap Analysis: Identifies capability gaps in Sales, Customer Success, Leadership, and Operations through data, observation, and feedback. Prioritizes targeted solutions that strengthen both individual and organizational outcomes.

  • Adult Learning Design: Creates experiential, scenario-based learning interventions that enable learners to apply knowledge immediately on the job. Adapts content for technical, commercial, and leadership audiences.

  • Content Creation and Localization: Develops and updates bilingual (English/French) materials in Articulate 360, ensuring training content is accurate, context-specific, and aligned to Zipline’s evolving needs.

  • Instructional Delivery Excellence: Facilitates engaging classroom, virtual, and on-the-job sessions with clarity, energy, and precision. Adjusts delivery style to learner experience, environment, and cultural context.

  • Learning Impact Evaluation: Tracks learning outcomes and performance data to assess program effectiveness, improve design, and demonstrate return on learning investment.

Bilingual Proficiency (English/French): Able to facilitate, coach, and communicate fluently in both English and French to support cross-regional teams and learners.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW

The role is open to candidates based in any of Zipline’s current locations especially in Africa — or with interest/ability to relocate to one of the African locations.

The person in this role will spend significant time in person with the Academy team and with Zipliners across the globe. We’re looking for someone who is excited about the opportunity of traveling ~10-15% to Zipline locations around the world (Rwanda, Ghana, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, and Nigeria) for team management, live training, and relationship-building.
