What We Need
We’re looking for an experienced Head of FP&A to join our Finance team. This role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s financial planning systems. Yieldmo’s FP&A team leads the annual budgeting and planning process, owns the company’s financial forecast model, creates materials for investors and the Board of Directors, supports equity raises and other financial transactions, and works closely with all other areas of the business to provide ad hoc financial and strategic analysis.
The ideal candidate is looking for the opportunity to make an impact on a fast-growing technology company. Despite your superior modeling skills, you also enjoy working collaboratively and partnering with stakeholders across the organization to help assess the financial impact of decisions, develop budgets, expose actionable KPIs, and communicate progress. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in accounting/finance with experience working with complex financial models in Excel and Google Sheets with attention to detail. This is a highly visible role partnering with executive leadership members across all areas of the organization.
What You Can Expect In This Role
- Serve as a valued business partner to department leaders by providing financial analysis, business modeling, and decision support with recommendations to solve and/or improve operational issues
- Own the company’s short and long-term financial forecast models and headcount models
- Understand and communicate financial results and trends and recommend appropriate course of action when results differ from Budget/Forecast
- Provide insights that can help optimize customer satisfaction and revenue growth
- Manage and forecast all personnel related expenses, for both domestic and global workforce. This involves the administration of all incentive compensation plans, providing timely reporting to the Sales team through automation as well as creating forecasting models; partnering with accounting & HR on payroll management needs.
- Design and implement scalable financial processes to drive automation and build efficiencies across the organization
- Ensure accurate reporting of all financial metrics and key performance indicators to senior management
- Provide analysis of client deals in support of internal deal teams and model pricing strategies for products and client proposals
- Facilitate strategic and operational planning processes
- Create materials for board decks and investor presentations
- Support equity raises and other financial transactions
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in an accounting or finance role with direct experience in FP&A or personnel administration being a plus
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA is a plus
- 5+ years financial planning experience, supporting business growth objectives
- 5+ years experience of MS Excel (Google Sheets a plus) with the ability to comprehend and improve existing models as well creating new ones from scratch. Ability to write SQL queries is a plus
- 1+ years experience executing financial planning & analysis for an advertising technology company is a plus
- Team-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and rapport within the Finance team as well as other teams across the organization
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
Nice to Haves
- Investment banking, VC, or Private Equity experience preferred
- Ad tech or media experience
- Familiarity with Looker or other data visualization tool
- Familiarity with accounting/planning software such as Netsuite or Adaptive
- SQL, Python, VBA, or another programming language
- MBA
Hiring Process
Select candidates will be invited to schedule a 30 minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. We will discuss the Hiring Process details at that time. The hiring process typically includes, but is not limited to:
- A 45 minute video interview with the Hiring Manager.
- Candidates will be invited to join a remote on-site interview round, consisting of video interviews with various team members and leadership.

US Jobs: The base salary range for this role is: $180,000-$220,000 per year. The range listed is just one component of Yieldmo's total compensation package for employees. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience, level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. In these situations, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.
