Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Writing

  • Develop course scopes, scripts, and materials to align with state standards for multiple state projects

Collaboration and Feedback:

  • Work collaboratively with other subject matter experts to create curricula.
  • Review the writing of others, providing actionable and constructive feedback for improvement.

EdTech and AI Integration:

  • Use AI as a thought partner to enhance curriculum design and generate creative ideas.
  • Understand the difference between writing curriculum for an international Edtech product vs. a single classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Edtech, with a strong understanding of technology integration.
  • Experience working with developing secondary materials to align with state-specific standards.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to curriculum writing.
  • Willingness to work independently and within a team; take direction well, and work with others, while also managing your own time and workload.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Comfort with "getting into the weeds" to resolve issues and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in curriculum writing.
  • Understanding of specific needs for the state of Texas and TEKS
  • Project Management experience outside of a school setting
  • Particular need for core content areas: English, Science, History
