We’re looking for an incredibly passionate, entrepreneurial, and innovative Head of Product to partner closely with our Chief Product Officer to drive the vision, strategy, and execution for our product team. At Subject, you’ll serve as the hands-on leader responsible for daily product decisions, championing user-centricity, driving rapid growth, and building practical solutions that elevate educational experiences for students, educators, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Leadership: Lead day-to-day product development, making quick, informed decisions to drive progress and solve problems.
• Cross-Functional Excellence: Directly collaborate with designers, engineers, data scientists, and educators to craft practical, intuitive, and innovative product solutions.
• Champion Growth: Define, measure, and optimize product initiatives to drive user engagement, adoption, and overall business growth.
• User Advocacy: Obsessively understand and champion our users’ needs, translating insights into actionable product improvements.
• Rapid Execution: Prioritize aggressively, iterate swiftly, and foster a culture of experimentation and rapid learning.
• Product Craft: Demonstrate exceptional ability across the full product lifecycle—ideation, UX/UI design oversight, feature prioritization, development management, quality assurance, and launch strategy.
• Strategic Partner: Collaborate closely with the Chief Product Officer to shape long-term vision, while translating high-level goals into actionable team initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product leadership roles, ideally in growth-stage startups or fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record of hands-on, tactical product development work alongside strategic planning.
• Exceptional cross-disciplinary skills, fluency in UX/UI design principles, product management best practices, agile engineering methods, and data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver high-value features rapidly, balancing perfection and pragmatism.
• Deep passion for education, innovation, and building impactful solutions for students and educators.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders across all levels.
