We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead two product development teams. These teams are at the forefront of building new software solutions designed to fuel our company's next phase of growth.

The role involves managing one team responsible for customer trust and support initiatives, and a second team focused on enhancing the customer journey through engagement and delivery experience tools.

You will be responsible for guiding talented engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Mentor: Build, coach, and manage a high-performing engineering team. You'll foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

  • Provide Technical Leadership: Guide the team on architectural and technical decisions, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

  • Drive Execution: Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from planning and prioritization to the successful delivery of engineering projects.

  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, Design, and Operations teams to ensure our technical initiatives align with business objectives.

  • Improve Processes: Enhance engineering workflows and implement best practices to boost our operational efficiency.

  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high code quality and adherence to best practices through design reviews and technical mentorship.

  • Contribute to Strategy: Help shape the engineering strategy and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with Stord's broader business goals.

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • A strong background in development, preferably with Elixir/Phoenix or other functional programming languages.

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems or complex enterprise applications.

  • The ability to mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • A strong understanding of software development best practices, system architecture, and DevOps principles.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience as an Engineering Manager at multiple companies.

  • Experience in a startup environment.

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain technology.

  • Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), Customer Experience (CX) platforms, or e-commerce platforms.
