At Scribd (pronounced “scribbed”), our mission is to spark human curiosity. Join our team as we create a world of stories and knowledge, democratize the exchange of ideas and information, and empower collective expertise through our three products: Everand, Scribd, and Slideshare.
We support a culture where our employees can be real and be bold; where we debate and commit as we embrace plot twists; and where every employee is empowered to take action as we prioritize the customer.
We love collaborating and investing time in our Scribd community, and we create intentional in-person moments with each other to build culture and connection. And, it is through our flexible work benefit – Scribd Flex – that we enable employees, in partnership with their manager, to choose the work-style that best suits their individual needs and preferences.
Role Overview:
As the Principal, Ads Monetization, you will be the driving force behind transforming Scribd's nascent ads program across our user-generated content (UGC) products, including Scribd.com and SlideShare.net, into a scaled, mature ads program that significantly contributes to the company's overall financials. This is a crucial role for maintaining our free reading experience and driving the overall monetization strategy for these key products that reach 220 million unique visitors worldwide each month across 225 million documents, presentations, and more.
As a senior member of the UGC team, you will be responsible for building and leading the ads strategy, operations, and optimization to maximize revenue and user experience. You will bring industry expertise and a rolodex of existing relationships with a data-driven, user-centric approach to scale our programmatic and direct sales ads offerings. With a deep understanding of the ads ecosystem, you will work cross-functionally with our BSA (business, strategy, and analytics) team, product teams, engineering teams, and key programmatic and direct sales partners to develop innovative ads solutions that power the growth and profitability of our UGC platforms.
