In this role, you'll be responsible for vetting emerging MSSP and MSP solutions, translating technical requirements into customer value propositions, and orchestrating cross-functional teams to bring new security products to market. You'll serve as the bridge between technical capabilities and customer outcomes, ensuring our offerings solve real security challenges for the automotive and convenience retail industries.

Product Discovery & Evaluation

  • Vet new MSP and MSSP technologies across PDI's ecosystem, identifying solutions that address customer security challenges
  • Translate technical requirements into customer impact statements – connecting features like SIEM ingestion, threat detection, and network monitoring to tangible business outcomes
  • Theorize and research security solutions that address specific customer pain points, building a prioritized evaluation pipeline
  • Leverage integration engineers to conduct hands-on technical assessments of prospective solutions
  • Define the problem statement for each customer security issue and map potential solutions across the vendor landscape

Product Development & Launch

  • Coordinate feature evaluation across team members, delegating research and proof-of-concept work to build comprehensive product requirements
  • Transform technical capabilities into monetizable product offerings, defining packaging, pricing considerations, and go-to-market positioning
  • Develop product documentation including service descriptions, feature matrices, and competitive positioning
  • Partner with sales and marketing to create training materials, sales playbooks, and customer-facing collateral

Operationalization & Lifecycle Management

  • Design implementation frameworks for newly productized services, working with operations teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Create knowledge articles and runbooks for ongoing support teams
  • Define SLAs and success metrics for each managed service offering
  • Establish maintenance requirements for security engineering teams to ensure continuous service quality
  • Build feedback loops between customer support, operations, and product to drive continuous improvement

Strategic Collaboration

  • Work closely with development teams to integrate services into the PDI customer portal
  • Gather customer insights and market intelligence to inform roadmap priorities
  • Serve as an MSSP subject matter expert internally, educating teams on security trends and solution capabilities
  • Set technical direction by articulating what problems we're solving and why specific solutions fit our strategy

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in product management, technical product operations, or solutions engineering
  • Understanding of managed security services including SIEM platforms, threat detection, EDR/MDR, network security, or cloud security
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to evaluate security technologies and understand integration requirements
  • Excellent translation skills you can explain complex technical concepts in customer-centric language
  • Collaborative leadership style comfortable coordinating cross-functional teams and delegating technical work
  • Organizational excellence able to manage multiple product evaluations and launches simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SIEM ingestion, log management, or security data pipelines
  • Familiarity with MSSP operations including NOC/SOC workflows, incident response, or vulnerability management
  • Background in the automotive, petroleum, or convenience retail sectors
  • Exposure to API integrations, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), or security automation tools
  • Understanding of service delivery frameworks (ITIL, SLA management, escalation processes)

Skills That Set You Apart

  • Curiosity-driven problem solver who asks "what security challenge are we really solving?"
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and defining structure where none exists
  • Strong written and verbal communication for both technical and business audiences
