Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building the AI and ML models that power our security products, helping to protect our customers from emerging threats. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, from developing predictive models to creating intelligent AI agents. While your primary focus will be on machine learning and AI agents, you'll collaborate closely with the entire team on all aspects of our data platform from data engineering to software development.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and experiment with AI agents to solve complex security challenges.
- Design, build, train, and deploy machine learning models using Python and AWS SageMaker.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and availability for model development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code for our APIs and services using FastAPI.
- Contribute to the team's data management strategy using dbt and SQL.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
What You’ll Bring:
- A foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Some experience with Python and common ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (Postgres is a big plus).
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the fields of machine learning, data engineering, and DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Formal training in Data Science, Statistics, Research Science or a related field (e.g., a bachelor's degree, bootcamp, or certificate program), or equivalent practical experience.
