Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to help build and maintain the backbone of our AI security intelligence platform. You will be responsible for our data warehouse, ETL pipelines, and the APIs that make our data accessible and actionable. Your work will be crucial in ensuring our machine learning models and security products are built on a solid foundation of reliable, high-quality data. As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate closely with Data Science and development teams as we build feature-focused AI solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize our ETL jobs using Python.
- Manage and scale our Postgres data warehouse, ensuring its performance and reliability.
- Use dbt and advanced SQL to build robust and efficient data transformation pipelines.
- Build and support our API layer using FastAPI, enabling seamless data access for our applications.
- Implement DevOps best practices to ensure our data infrastructure is scalable and resilient.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers to support the data needs for model training and deployment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong programming skills in Python and a solid understanding of SQL.
- Some experience or a strong interest in building ETL pipelines and managing data warehouses.
- Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles (Postgres experience is a plus).
- An eagerness to learn about DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Formal training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (e.g., a bachelor's degree, bootcamp, or certificate program), or equivalent practical experience.
