Performance Marketing & Creator Success Lead, Performance
Kickstarter
Kickstarter is the go-to crowdfunding platform for creative projects across everything from film, games and music to art, design, and technology. Fueled by the support of our team, our mission to help bring creative projects to life has been a core tenet since our inception in 2009.
To date, we have helped more than 282,000 creative projects reach their funding goal with pledges totalling more than $8.9 billion dollars. We continue to be committed to the growth and success of not only our community, but our team as well. Rooted in shared values, Kickstarter sees team members as whole people, giving every individual the autonomy and space to participate in decisions that impact them.
Kickstarter is seeking a motivated Performance Marketing & Creator Success Lead to join our Performance team. This individual would be focused on delivering exceptional ROI for partnered creators across key performance marketing channels, while also delivering high touch creator support. This team is Kickstarter’s first new business line, and you’d be joining an experienced, creative team driven by delivering the best possible experience for creators bringing creative work to life.
Note that the typical schedule for this role is Monday - Thursday but this individual will be expected to check email and support creators as needed on Fridays on an ad hoc basis.
Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom for this role for creator timezone coverage.
In this role, you will:
- Own the execution and analysis of key performance marketing channels—including Meta, Google, Reddit, and TikTok—by driving strategic initiatives and collaborating with the GM to implement longer-term engineering efforts that enhance scalability and performance.
- Develop and implement acquisition strategies for partnered creators, focusing on building repeatable, high-impact tactics that align with our prioritized categories. Foster strong relationships with ad platform sales representatives and external agency partners to maximize performance outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for creators, providing proactive support, addressing inquiries, and ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their engagement with the performance team. In this role, you will set the bar for how we service and support our creators.
- Drive operational excellence for your tasks and owned outcomes by identifying, proposing, and implementing scalable process improvements, and collaborating with internal and external resources to maintain high levels of creator satisfaction.
- Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with our most valuable creators, gathering feedback to inform actionable improvements and drive ongoing service enhancements.
- Support creator service pitches by collaborating with team members to articulate value propositions and encourage the adoption of our offerings.
About You
- You have extensive experience delivering exceptional ROAS for Kickstarter crowdfunding campaigns across Kickstarter categories.
- You have 3-4 years of professional experience managing and meeting the needs of clients with high expectations and have experience pitching performance marketing services.
- You are confident in setting the bar for communication standards with partnered creators, ensuring prompt replies and industry-leading support levels.
- You enjoy working collaboratively, participating in team discussions, planning and process design, with excellent communication and time management skills.
- You have experience interpreting and communicating effectively about business data.
- You empathize with creators, the challenges of the creative process and bringing projects to life.
- You consider the broader impacts of your work and how you can improve the whole team’s experience; identifying tooling & automation improvements, tackling systemic issues rather than firefighting, and excelling at cross-discipline collaboration.
- You value sharing knowledge, personal growth, positive feedback, and continuously improving operational and team practices.
