This role is critical in maintaining Function Health’s commitment to evidence-based health information. The ideal candidate will have a strong medical background, exceptional attention to detail, and experience translating complex medical concepts into consumer-friendly language.</span></div> <h4><br></h4> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li><span>Review and fact-check all social media and marketing content to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with the latest medical research and current clinical guidelines.</span></li> <li><span>Verify claims related to health, wellness, biomarkers, diagnostics, and longevity science are supported by peer-reviewed studies and reputable medical sources.</span></li> <li><span>Assess the credibility of scientific studies and sources cited in the content and identify potential bias or conflicts of interest in referenced studies.</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate with content creators, marketing teams, and other clinical writers to refine messaging and maintain high standards of credibility.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure that all content aligns with Function’s core mission, emphasizing root cause medicine, preventative medicine, and systems-based approaches to health.</span></li> <li><span>Stay current with emerging research, clinical guidelines, and public health trends to proactively ensure that content remains current and reliable.</span></li> <li><span>Review and address any claims that may be unclear, overstated, misrepresenting research, or lacking sufficient evidence before publication. </span></li> <li><span>Provide clear and concise feedback on content revisions based on clinical expertise and scientific accuracy, while maintaining language accessible to a broader audience. </span></li> <li><span>Assist in developing internal fact-checking protocols and best practices for medical content review.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <h2><span><span></span>Qualifications</span></h2> <ul> <li><span>MD (Doctor of Medicine) required; background in preventive medicine, functional medicine, or longevity science is a plus.</span></li> <li><span>Strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and the ability to critically evaluate scientific literature.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in medical writing, fact-checking, or reviewing health-related content.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to translate complex medical concepts into clear, engaging, and consumer-friendly language.</span></li> <li><span>High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in health communication.</span></li> <li><span>Familiarity with current clinical guidelines, peer-reviewed research, and medical standards and regulations in health marketing.</span></li> <li><span>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, digital-first environment with cross-team collaboration.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> </div></div>
