Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Diligent Data Room (previously Secure File Storage) product team. DDR is Diligent’s primary solution for managing important and sensitive documents amongst a board room so that board members can collaborate, edit, and maintain their most sensitive information. Diligent Data Room integrates across multiple Diligent products and is key to the overall Modern Governance technology strategy. It is a microservice based architecture written primarily in Go-lang (backend), and React (frontend).
As a Senior QA Engineer you will be working in a Agile team and with the primarily responsibility of owning the QA strategy of complex functionalities, creating and executing automated and manual test cases and identifying/reporting defects. You’ll be working closely with all members of the team to help ensure a high-quality product.
Key Responsibilities
- Break down a larger project and help others working on the stories
- Build test strategy and test plans for complex functionalities
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Help evolve guidelines and engineering practices of the team
- Perform manual acceptance testing for user stories within sprints
- Collaborate with Agile team members as solutions are developed, applying quality mindset throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Perform all aspects of test verification, including environment management, functional and regression testing.
- Pioneer the use of AI-driven testing solutions—evaluate and implement intelligent test generation, defect prediction, and adaptive test strategies using LLMs and other AI models
- Stay up to date with AI trends, tools, and regulations and adapt team processes to latest technologies
- Mentor others, interview candidates, provide feedback
- Integrate test automation with build and delivery pipeline
Required Experience/Skills
- 5+ years of experience in the field of testing with 3+ years of experience in automation
- Strong experience in a hands-on development in test role at a commercial software company
- Experience in automating E2E test cases with TypeScript and preferably Playwright (project is migrating from Nightwatch.js to Playwright)
- Experience in automating API level tests in Microservice architecture
- Strong understanding of AI in software engineering
- Practical knowledge of CI tools (GitHub Actions, k8s, docker)
- Experience in creating and executing manual test cases
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative and enjoys working in a diverse, agile environment
- Experience in mentoring junior Test Engineers
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Previous experience within performance testing (preferably K6)
- Experience with AWS
