Position Overview
You will work with cross functional teams to understand customer needs, design functionalities, and translate requirements into test plans. The role focuses on evaluating risks, building and optimizing automation frameworks to ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of the microservices that power our SaaS platform. You'll also develop tools that make development, testing, deployment, and monitoring more efficient—with the full power of AWS and serverless technologies at your disposal.
In addition, this role embraces the use of AI tools and practices to enhance productivity, improve test quality, and accelerate development cycles. You will responsibly apply generative AI for testing, coding, debugging, research, and documentation while maintaining a strong understanding of privacy, ethics, and reliability in AI use.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing for existing and new features.
- Support manual testing activities, including functional, regression, and exploratory cross-browser testing.
- Draw up test scenarios from specifications, maintain a test case library, and update regression test cases as needed.
- Execute test cases, analyze results, and track defects through to resolution.
- Develop testing strategies, estimate test efforts, and report quality metrics.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to improving test and deployment processes.
- Use AI tools to accelerate test case generation, debugging, documentation, and scenario analysis, validating outputs responsibly.
- Understand core AI/LLM concepts (e.g., tokens, context length, hallucinations), recognize safe vs. unsafe AI use cases (e.g., privacy/security risks), and flag any ethical or cost-related concerns.
- Participate in code/test reviews, contribute to team architectural discussions, and maintain stability of the codebase.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers where applicable.
Required Experience/Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in automated testing for web applications.
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of QA and testing concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with open-source test frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for enhancing productivity in testing and development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Experience with TypeScript, applying its features to develop efficient, type-safe, and maintainable automation frameworks and tools.
- ISTQB Foundation Certificate.
- Experience with JMeter or similar performance testing tools.
